ACCESSIBLE MUSIC TECHNOLOGY. ACCESSIBLE MUSIC TECHNOLOGY (AMT)

Society has created barriers for people with disabilities to receive a music education or to develop as musicians. In its first phase, during the course 2021-2022, the project proposes to carry out a study that allows us to know the limitations derived from disability and that do not allow many people to exercise as musicians, as well as to what extent Accessible Technology could provide the tools necessary to do so. To do this, we will consult the associations of Euskadi who work with groups with different disabilities and we will also consult the people with disabilities themselves who wish to have a musical activity and who cannot currently develop it. In a second phase, during the course 2022-2023, the project aims, through alliances with different companies in the sector, to initiate a process of research and realisation of accessible musical instruments, specific to different problems, always through the most advanced technology and with the main purpose of ensuring that all people, without exclusions, can carry out their personal project as musicians.
