Description

One of the strategic lines of the Gipuzkoan company ELECTRO TALLERES ZARAUZ S.A., better known as Jolas in the children's playground and street furniture sector, is the design and installation of playgrounds with recycled material produced in Germany. Its objectives include the development of a new line of business, aimed at the development of new designs of furniture for the development of indoor cultural activities. The aim of this project is to develop a joint line of work between the company, students, teachers and researchers of the second-year module Graphic Expression II of the Degree in Technical Architecture at the Gipuzkoa School of Engineering. To this end, after a training stage with the company, the students will design different ideas for a pilot test for the development, manufacture and assembly of a grandstand that will be located at the entrance to the Gipuzkoa School of Engineering, which will also serve as an example for future generations of students. Creativity and technical requirements will be evaluated via a competition. In addition, the materials used will be analysed through the participation of members of the Aula de Economia Circular held by the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa at the School and the Research Group 'Materials+Technologies' GMT (https://www.ehu.eus/en/web/gmt/) with the aim of identifying different options that could be available in our territory to obtain km0 recycled materials, avoiding their transport from Germany and reusing local waste.
