INNOVARTE. An innovation project for creating new futures with design tools enhanced with performing arts methodologies

INNOVARTE is a research project on Applied Theatre based on devising a practical methodology with theatre-based tools as a strategy for improving innovation projects that focus on people.

This is a theoretical and practical innovation proposal that is aimed at exploring different interpretation and applied theatre techniques and adapting them for use in non-theatrical contexts. It consists of exploring the transformative potential of theatre through a methodological approach based on dramatic play, forum theatre and social theatre. It uses interpretative techniques for purposes other than purely aesthetic ones. This is an investigation into how the performing arts can help to build greater connections between people in a co-creation process, and achieve a systemic approach to participatory processes of designing projects about new futures.
