PILOT SYSTEM TO PROMOTE THE ENVIRONMENTAL COHERENCE OF FAÇADE INTERVENTIONS THROUGH DIGITAL TWINS: THE SAN SEBASTIAN URBAN EXPANSION

The accelerated proliferation of thermally insulated façades on the outside is distorting the identity of cities. Public administrations and construction companies are not being able to regulate these uncontrolled interventions. The San Sebastian Urban Expansion has been chosen as an urban space to protect, whose architectural deterioration could mean not only a loss of identity, but also a loss of tourism and economic wealth. That is why this work aims to create a prototype that serves to regulate these interventions, and to promote the design, with cutting-edge technologies, of products and systems that respect the architectural harmony of the area, opening up a new market niche in other similar historic centres.
