KSIgune participated in the Creative Skills Week 2024 (CSW24) to present the first Regional Skills Partnership (RSP) for CCIs recognised by the European Commission, the Basque ecosystem collectively working to develop the creative and cultural sector in the region.
KSIgune was invited to participate at the CSW24 in Amsterdam from 16 to 20 September 2024, to share the long-established Basque localised strategy and collaborative ecosystem approach to foster growth among local stakeholders, and leverage regional strengths and opportunities for unleashing creative skills.
Ruth Mayoral, Head of Higher Education Programmes at Euskampus Fundazioa (coordinating entity of KSIgune), was a guest speaker at the session “CreatiWEty: Building Sustainable Networks and Partnerships for Skill Providers and Regions Together”. During her intervention, she introduced KSIgune and its RSP, and its reference model to connect Administration, Higher Education, and Businesses to enhance training capacity, and deliver strategic action to foster the knowledge transfer between Higher Education and CCIs in the region.
The Creative Skills Week 2024 gathered third-level educators, university leaders, vocational education and training (VET) providers, industry partners, SME’s and policymakers to address skills gaps, identify opportunities for upskilling, and start shaping strategic skills for future creatives.
The event was packed with online and onsite events on key topics such as the development of a sustainable career in the arts and upskilling models for employment, as well as sessions with a focus on artistic research, AI and copyright, data management, public-private collaborations or education for emerging artists, among others.
