Between 6th and 9th November, a delegation from the Basque CCI sector, which included KSIgune, travelled to the city of Shanghai in China to take part in the Reverse Mission initiative, an annual programme of study visits in the field of innovation and creativity.
The Reverse Mission event was organised by the Districts of Creativity Network (DC Network) and is aimed at bringing together every year Administration, Academia and Business to learn about the best practices of a host region and to encourage the transfer of knowledge on promoting the cultural and creative industries.
At Reverse Mission 2024, the KSIgune cluster got a first-hand insight into Shanghai's dynamic and multi-faceted creative industry, which encompasses sectors such as film, media, design, fashion and technology. Representatives from the city have ntroduced various initiatives, showcasing its unique approach to integrating industry with cultural heritage, fostering creative industries and leveraging multimedia platforms for global impact.
The Basque delegation was able to visit emblematic sites and projects such as:
- Nanxiang City: Game Industry Park, the cultural district and the Oriental Pearl TV Tower space.
- FICS Xinhua 365 Creative Park
- The 7th China International Import Expo
- Jiashan: Zhejiang Dongfang Kemai Technology Co., Ltd., Technology Exhibition Hall and Xitang Ancient Town
This study visit is part of the international promotion actions carried out by KSIgune, aimed at opening up avenues of collaboration with international actors and the academia and the CCI sector in the Basque Country.
